Walter Hook, painter and printmaker, a Montana native. He received his Masters Degree in Art from the University of New Mexico in 1950, and was hired as chair of the University of Montana Art Department. Walter Hook received some 90 awards from juried exhibitions and had over 80 one- man shows. His mediums were painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking. His style is post-war surrealism.
