Wonderful example of an Antique snowball pattern quilt from around the 1920s/30s. Tradional patterning shows off the various depression era fabrics. This is a mid weight quilt, softened with age. Reverse and trim is a pale lavender pink. Very clean with no odors. Some color bleed can be seen in some areas, as well as age spots. A few areas where the seam is starting to come loose. Usable and overall good condition for a 100 year old quilt.

Snowball quilts are traditional American patterns dating back to the mid to late 19th century. While rooted in 19th-century Amish and patchwork traditions, they were also regained popularity in the early 20th century, particularly in 1930s pastel and feed sack fabrics.
