Vintage Don Freedman Fiber Art

Such a beautiful art piece! Wool weaving by Don Freedman for Interlude c1978. This tapestry features an array of knots, stitches, open spaces and textures in a variety of natural earthy neutral wool yarns on a cotton warp. It is anchored on the top and bottom by two covered wood slats and includes a hanging cord.

This type of Don Freedman weaving, and this horizontal design in particular is rare to find
